Sasha is a rising junior majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at UMass Amherst. She is a current undergraduate researcher in the Rotello lab, where she makes polymer nanoparticles using organic synthesis. Her main interests are in studying molecular interactions, such as those between drugs and cells and within a molecule, combining theory with experimentation. Sasha also conducted research on sea anemones to study neuronal differentiation through injections and bioimaging. She previously helped teach the Biological Research summer programs for Boston Leadership Institute and conducted mathematical research at Bates College.
