Ju Hee Ryu
Ju Hee Ryu, Ph.D., Principal Scientist, Co-founder, Advisor
Dr. Ju Hee Ryu is the Co-Founder of DoriNano and a Principal Research Scientist at the Korea Institute of Science & Technology (KIST). With over 20 years of experience in nanomedicine and molecular imaging, she has been at the forefront of developing innovative strategies to treat diseases using DNA, peptide, protein and more. Her contributions have resulted in the publication of over 60 peer-reviewed articles and numerous pending and issued patents.
Recently, Dr. Ryu’s research has focused on creating new therapeutic modalities based on DNA origami. This work aims to enhance therapeutic efficacy while reducing toxicity.
She holds both her BS and PhD degrees from Seoul National University. From 2016 to 2019, Dr. Ryu served as a Principal Investigator at the KIST-Dana Farber Cancer Institute on-site lab in Boston. This role was crucial in strengthening the collaboration between KIST and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, accelerating joint research efforts.
